LOXAHATCHEE, FL – Elizabeth Accomando released the following statement after media reports that the Florida Department of Government Efficiency may look at Palm Beach County government:

“I applaud Governor Desantis’ DOGE initiative for finding ways to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve services in our local government. Transparency and good government is something we should all welcome. If I was FL-DOGE, the first place I would look at in Palm Beach County is Commissioner Sara Baxter’s private security detail, office decorating, free use of county training facilities, and other benefits she currently enjoys from taxpayer funded expenditures.”

This week, the Sun-Sentinel reported “Florida Doge looks at Palm Beach County” and the Palm Beach Post reported “Is Florida DOGE eyeing Palm Beach County? Incoming Administrator Abruzzo says yes,” stating that Palm Beach County government officials are already in the process of providing financial documents to Florida DOGE auditors.
